Professional Journey
IT specialist, developer and sailor. 30 years of technical experience at your service. A hands-on practice of electronics, electrical systems, IP networks, and embedded systems. From 8-bit assembly to LLMs. Cross-domain expertise: marine electronics (500+ boats equipped), HA infrastructure (private cloud since 2000), embedded C/C++/Rust, offensive cybersecurity. Remote work via satellite from the Atlantic coast.
I was born in 1971. I discovered computing at age 10 on a TRS-80 in 1981. I started my professional career in 1996.
I coded on Commodore 64 at age 13, in 6510 assembly. I knew BBS, FidoNet, the nascent web. I managed 5000+ workstations at France Télécom. I have been sailing solo since age 8 and have lived aboard since 2015.
Historical stack: 6510 Assembly, C, Pascal, Perl, PHP, Python, TypeScript, Rust. Infrastructure: Amiga 500, BBS, FidoNet, Apache CGI, private cloud London, Kubernetes. Marine: 500+ boats equipped, 15+ transats, 0 dropout due to failure.
He who has seen 100 technologies born and die knows how to recognize those that will last.

What 44 years have taught me
I have seen Flash, Silverlight, AngularJS and hundreds of trendy frameworks die. What lasts: C, SQL, HTTP, Unix.
Every technological wave promises revolution. The real revolution is stability. A simple system lasts 30 years without invasive maintenance.
Durable stack: C (1972), SQL (1974), HTTP (1991), Unix (1969). Ephemeral stack: Flash (1996-2020), Silverlight (2007-2012), AngularJS (2010-2021). I choose my technologies with a 30-year perspective.
When you have seen 5 technological waves, you recognize the patterns.
Revolutionary novelties are often rebranded ancient concepts. The cloud is timeshare mainframes. Serverless is CGI revisited.
Pattern recognition: microservices = SOA (2000), containers = chroot (1979), LLM = Markov chains + GPU. What seems new is rarely new. Experience allows you to see beyond the marketing.
At sea as in the cloud, a system that fails has no value.
Reliability comes from simplicity, not sophistication. A marine system must work with salt, humidity, vibrations. A cloud system must resist datacenter failures.
Techniques: active/passive redundancy, automatic failover, circuit breaker, bulkhead pattern. Monitoring: heartbeat, watchdog, CRC. At sea: 0 dropout due to failure in 30 years thanks to redundancy and prevention.
At 54, I code every day. Passion does not fade, it transforms into technical wisdom.
I test every novelty, I constantly train. 20+ LLM models tested. LangChain, CrewAI, RAG. Daily learning for 44 years.
Routine: code review in the morning, tech watch in the afternoon, personal project in the evening. Stack in exploration: embedded Rust, WebAssembly, edge AI, LoRaWAN. Goal: stay relevant at 70.
« I do not design for fashion. I design for 2050. »
Emerging skills
New roles fueled by 44 years of code and 30 years of infrastructure.
Cybersecurity Consultant
Application security audits following OWASP and CVSS standards. Risk evaluation.
Passive and active penetration testing, GDPR compliance analysis. An approach that combines the technical rigor of a systems architect with a strategic vision of digital threats.
OWASP Top 10, CVSS v3.1, PTES, NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Tools: Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Nessus. Reports with action priorities and remediation budgets. 30 years of infrastructure experience as the foundation of an offensive approach.
AI Code Supervisor

« Technology must serve man, not the other way around. A perfectly designed system is one you forget about because it works. »
